2024-25 Forest, Our Island, electronic chamber music and data project
translating data of the forest system (2016-2024) into musical compositions using data sonification, acoustic, and electronic instruments, in collaboration with the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest (NH, USA).
2024-26 Ocean Symphony, acoustic instruments, field recordings, electronic music
multi-year project with NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) to ‘orchestrate’ recordings of sounds from the ocean by scientists and compose music for chamber and orchestra (New Bedford Symphony Orchestra) to be performed at public spaces, educational programs, environmental institutions, and museums.
* will also explore and expand project at Soundweavings: Intercultural Music Residency 2025 at the Banff Centre
2024-25 Excitement and Fear, choreography music commissioned by Asian American Ballet Project and Kunal Ranchod (choreographer)
Quartet, duo, and solo music in three movements for about ten minutes, on theme that examines personal connections and the excitement and fear that emerge.
2024-25 Resilience, Narratives of Women of Color , music with narratives, and exhibition (co-curator)
A music and interdisciplinary project that is dedicated to the stories, history, narratives of women of color related to the Greater Boston area, featuring stories and narratives collected from local communities and archives. Public performances are happening at Greenway Chinatown, Chinese Historical Society of New England, Grub Street Center for Creative Writing, and Boston Public Library Roxbury Branch in March and April 2025.
